Recently, Seraphim announced that it has officially joined the UN Global Compact, and will work with like-minded leading enterprises in various industries around the world to jointly promote the global sustainable development and create a beautiful new world that meets human aspirations.
In July 2000, the UN Global Compact was initiated and established by former UN Secretary-General Annan at the UN Headquarters. At present, the UN Global Compact has developed into the largest sustainable development organization with the highest specifications in the world, covering more than 10,000 enterprises and other stakeholders from more than 160 countries. The organization is committed to mobilizing member enterprises and stakeholders on a global scale to incorporate 10 principles of the UN Global Compact on labor standards, human rights, environmental protection and anti-corruption into daily operations and corporate strategies, while promoting the realization of broader UN goals and accelerating the global sustainable development process.
We believe that most businesses are inclined to kindness and charity. Our initiative: Achieve the Goal of “Zero Carbon” Production
The manufacturing industry has always been regarded as a “big energy consumer”, so low-carbon transformation is a moral duty for everyone. We attach great importance to this and do our utmost to reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions and our carbon footprint. Our factories in Changzhou and Jinzhai have installed PV generation systems providing green power generation, thus reducing carbon emissions while they operate. In the future, the company will continue to increase investment with a goal of achieving “zero carbon” production thus contributing more to global sustainable development.
Our Action: Integrate Sustainability into our Corporate Culture
We realized that a large part of the carbon emissions generated by the company comes from our office and travel. Therefore, we have developed appropriate plans and codes of conduct to standardize the rational use of resources by employees, introducing behavioral practices, continuously reducing the carbon emissions attributed to our office and commuting, laying a foundation for the company’s sustainable development.
