CHANGZHOU — Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System Co. Ltd. (“Seraphim”), a world-class solar product manufacturer in China, recently announced that it will supply state-of-the-art smart modules to a 9MW PV plant project in Australia.
Located 95 km west of Moree, New South Wales, the plant developed by the Kanowna Solar PL is expected to utilize 27,500 units of 325W Seraphim MX Modules with integrated cell string-level Maxim optimizers.
Construction will start on the plant in early 2019.
It is reported that the smart module produced by Seraphim can enable up to 1.5x more modules per string, thanks to its voltage-limiting feature, which will significantly reduce costs and make it more suitable for large power plants and commercial projects.
Meanwhile, compared with the traditional module, the smart module can minimize DC system mismatch losses and long-term degradation rates to enhance production output by up to 5 percent.

Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System Co. Ltd. (“Seraphim”), a world-class solar module manufacturer, recently announced the inauguration of a new 500 MW solar cell factory in the Coega Industrial Development Zone of Port Elizabeth, South Africa, along with 200MW half-cell module assembly expansion in Eastern Cape. This new cell factory will be the first in the African continent.
This is another step forward for Seraphim’s goal of expanding global production capacity, previously opening a 300 MW module plant in South Africa this past August. The new expansions will bolster Seraphim’s manufacturing supply chain in South Africa by directly supporting its growing module assembly plant already operating in Eastern Cape since last summer. The new factory equipment plans are a critical element in Seraphim’s globalization strategy to mitigate against unpredictable tariffs levied on Chinese manufacturers. The new factory and expansion is co-developed by both Seraphim and Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa (IDC), and will begin commercial operation in Q3 2019.

Seraphim have developed expertise in cell manufacturing since opening their first plant in Zhejiang province of China in 2015 and shall support the South African factory by sending their seasoned technical team to South Africa to accelerate construction and commissioning of equipment and to train local employees. “We are very excited about the opportunities that this new cell factory opens up for our operations in South Africa”, said David Nunez Blundell, co-founder of Seraphim Southern Africa. “This plant will be the first of its kind in Africa, and shall be a stepping stone towards the consolidation of a strong vertically-integrated operation that will see additional investments materializing in the near future. Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System Co., Ltd. (“Seraphim”) recently signed new landmark supply agreements for two separate PV projects totaling 80MW in Vietnam. The Solar farms are a joint venture project of AMI Renewables of Vietnam and AC Energy of the Philippines. Seraphim agreed to deliver the PV modules for a targeted commission date in late April 2019.
The first project, 30MW BMT Solar Farm Project will be constructed at the Ea Phe and Krong Puk Commune, Krong Pac District, Dak Lak Province; and the second one, 50MW KH Solar Farm Project, will be constructed at Cam An Nam Commune, Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa Province. Both projects will be constructed by ERS Energy Sdn Bhd, which is one of the leading regional EPC contractors in South East Asia headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This new 300 MW factory, developed as a joint venture between Seraphim，ILB Helios Southern Africa and Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa, utilizes the latest fully-automated production technology. The USD $14 million module assembly plant is currently in trial production, ramping up to full production in September.

Recently, TUV SUD issued only its third IEC CTF (Customer Testing Facilities Certificate) to Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System Co., Ltd. (“Seraphim”), a world-class solar product manufacturer well-known in the PV industry for strong R&D.
To complete CTF qualification, an organization is required to meet strict regulations on personnel structure, environmental facilities, document control, sample management, etc. Becoming a valid CTF Laboratory means Seraphim will be listed on the official website of IEC, and its testing results can be directly used in “Certification Body” (“CB”) reports issued by TUV SUD. Furthermore, Seraphim can also internally generate CB testing reports for new products or material introductions from its own laboratory, which greatly reduces the time and energy used on sample transportation—and accelerates new product releases.

June 13th 2018／Nanjing. Today, Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System Co., Ltd. (“Seraphim”) announced that it won the supply agreement for a monumental 246MW Ukraine solar project, developed by Ukraine’s largest energy group, DTEK. This installation will be Ukraine ‘s largest renewable energy power plant to date. CMEC is the EPC contractor and Seraphim is the sole module supplier.
This 246MW large-scale PV plant is to be constructed in Dnepropetrovsk in central Ukraine. 246MW of Seraphim’s high-efficiency 330W poly modules will be delivered to the project site before the end of August. When commissioned, the project will meet the electricity needs of over 100,0000 citizens, while reducing carbon emissions by 300,000 tons annually. Furthermore, this massive project symbolizes Ukraine’s rise in renewable development, accelerating the influence of clean energy economics on Ukraine and East Europe as a whole.

As a quickly-emerging solar market, Ukraine has great potential.
